I swear, people flee the creepypasta fandom like cockroaches from a lit 400-watt bulb at the drop of a pin these days. I’m not going to let a moral panic or peer pressure keep me from enjoying creepypasta and drawing it.
And yes, I care about the victims. A lot. Creepypasta fans are human beings with empathy and compassion. Don’t give me the inane false dichotomy that we have to choose between the fandom and the victims; you know darn well we can do both.
And pointing out that the fandom isn’t to blame, people are, isn’t a “not all X” argument either, so don’t use that cop-out. It’s been made clear from all reports that this particular incident was the result of poor parental supervision and a lack of support/care for the perpetrator’s mental health issues.
