Worm Jeff is almost a year old! (I finished and uploaded Evil Never Dies, the story that introduced him, on Nov. 20th.)

Can you believe it? My darling little mind-enslaving, serial killer-creating, body horror-inducing, grub-lizard-parasite thing has been on the scene for almost a year now. To be honest, at first I expected to be laughed out of the fandom for it because of the sheer absurdity of the premise (he's a parasite who attaches to you when you're sleeping and slowly turns you into Jeff the Killer) but he's surprisingly well-liked, even among people who normally hate anything to do with JtK. I guess the fact that I

put a lot of time and research into the mythos to make it feel more plausible helped. Or it might be because he's deceptively cute-looking. Yeah, it's probably the second one.

I might do something special for his one-year anniversary, I might not. We'll see.
